The Hallowed Path | Te Ara Tapu – will be a series of audio visual short stories, showing some of the trees and numinous spaces of the Wellington Botanic Garden ki Paekākā, filmed through the seasons. This special location in Wellington | Te Whanganui-a-Tara has inspired me and my work as an artist for over two decades now.

The idea behind this series is to convey the deep reverence, gratitude and love for mother nature that we can all cultivate in peaceful, simple and insightful ways. I will be weaving my ritual of mandala making, as well as other creative and contemplative practices, into each audio visual vignette. This series is also a companion to my The Sacred Grove | Te Uru Tapu series of tree of life paintings which I will be exhibiting in March 2023.
